When the Birds Stop Singing

Just had an ah ha moment. A storm cloud soared overhead, its not raining, but its ominous. I just realized part of why it feels so ominous, the birds stopped singing. They all went to bed early because of the cloud, or so it seems. Creepy, unnatural not having birds singing. Never thought about it that way.
